We highly recommend buying travel insurance through your travel agent or purchase your own, because you don’t need it until you need it!
You never know when the unexpected will happen, airlines going bankrupt, hurricanes, illness or death in the family…..many things that could cause you to have to cancel or postpone your vacation.

Check with your medical insurance company, if you are not covered while traveling outside the U.S., you need to purchase medical coverage, medical evacuation coverage is very important coverage to consider. You will have to pay for medical expenses upfront at a Cancun hospital and be reimbursed by insurance. So, due to this reason, I recommend having a high-limit credit card available for emergencies.
Make sure to keep all receipts, you will need them to file the claim with the insurance company.
